So you may have heard of the Hispanic Executive magazine, but if not it is a business magazine focusing on highlighting and spotlighting successful Hispanics across the country. And it all started with California Native Pedro Guerrero, he had the thought “wouldn’t it be nice to see Latino stories told in a way that was designed better.” Because he remembers as a kid his dad subscribing to Hispanic Business, a magazine that was made with cheap paper and without a premium design. That magazine no longer exists, but Pedro was inspired and and launched his first Hispanic business publication in 2007. Now it’s 18 years later the magazine has over 70 editions. Last Thursday, there was a massive fire that engulfed the far seaward end of Oceanside Pier and it wasn’t completely out until Monday morning. There was a whole investigation and officials ruled out arson as the cause and it was most likely an accidental cause.
It is FINALLY happening San Diego is getting it’s Roscoe’s Chicken &Waffles location. It’s been in the works since 2016, and the new location will take over a lot in Barrio Logan located at 1678 National Ave. Just a short walk from Chicano Park and Petco Park. It will be a two story restaurant. This will be the first location south of Anaheim.
